Whatever the touch of Thenos did that deprived Nemesis of its energy, Rowan would not give it the chance to regain it back. Nemesis was an eighth-dimensional entity, that was even more powerful than Gothran'Inul when placed in its center of power which was the Great Desert, outside its domain and restricted from accessing its greatest weapon by the touch of Thenos, Nemesis became the juiciest prey here, and if Rowan's siphoning of soul energy from the corpse of Thenos were to be interrupted, then he would need fuel to push him through the upcoming battle, and Nemesis soul was to be that fuel.

The power of Staff that he collected from the lass was extremely complex and yet still incredibly simple. She could take in any forces into her body, and with her connection to the Nothingness that surrounded reality, she could multiply those forces and then direct them outwards either in a focused beam or a massive blast, but due to her character that was simple and direct and her relatively weak consciousness, the energy she could express outward was mostly kinetic.

In comparison to the myriad mystical forces out there in reality that could boggle the mind in their functionality and complexity, Kinetic energy was something that was almost lackluster, a force that even a mortal could comprehend and control, but when pushed to the height that Staff could take it, coupled with her relatively simple Will of Force that also multiplied the power that she could direct outwards, then in the terms of Kinetic energy she had reached a point where this simple energy had transformed into the force of disintegration.

The greatest reason Rowan had chosen her to break the Great Desert was this unique power that she held that could disintegrate everything, not just essence, but the spirit and the soul as well, and when taken to the limits with the massive formation Rowan had made to amplify her powers alongside Andar's, then she could disintegrate even Wills!
